    dog-friendly atmosphere
    delicious breakfast
    mattress issue

The Rokeby Inn made for a lovely stopover. I appreciated the dog-friendly atmosphere, complete with a welcome package for my furry friend. The room felt warm and cozy, and having both bath and shower options was a nice touch. The food was quite good, particularly the breakfast, which was delicious and well-made. the mattress in my room had a significant collapse on one side, forcing me to turn it around during the night. The en-suite bathroom was quite cramped. the folding door obstructed access which would be challenging for someone less mobile. There were also some cleanliness concerns with the duvet cover and pillowcases showing signs of wear. The pricing for having a dog could have been clearer upfront. a few adjustments could elevate the experience substantially.

    local ambiance
    poor connectivity
    damp smell

Charming local ambiance, spacious parking area, impressive evening dining menu

The Wi-Fi connectivity issues were quite frustrating for a place that touts itself as accommodating!!! The en-suite bathroom was too cramped, making it difficult to navigate comfortably. I noticed a damp smell lingering in the room that detracted from the overall appeal!!!

    cozy room
    dog-friendly
    wi-fi issues
    damp smell

It all depends on your needs

The room was warm and cozy, with a fantastic choice of bath and shower. The dog-friendly welcome package was delightful, complemented by great food.

Some rooms had pesky Wi-Fi issues that may interrupt your stay. A minor damp smell in the room slightly hindered the overall experience.

    pet-friendly location
    clean room
    cramped bathroom
    worn mattress
    dated decor

Ideal location for those traveling with pets, providing a welcome pack for furry companions. The room was clean, which is essential for short stays.

En-suite bathroom felt cramped, making it tough to maneuver, especially with the toilet placed in an awkward corner. The mattress had noticeable wear, with a collapse on one side requiring a rotation to avoid falling out. Decor and furniture in my room showed signs of tiredness, with faded duvet covers and carpets needing attention.

    helpful staff

It was just an optimal selection for a short stay in Newsham with value for money. The staff were helpful and pleasant, providing a packed food bag as I had to leave early. Consider asking for a room away from the entrance for a quieter experience.
